LET'S START ON THE GROUND FLOOR

WHAT SELLERS WOULD RATHER DO WITHOUT
We would like to tell you something about ourselves and provide an explanation regarding the sale of our home. We were both born and raised in Grashoek and have always had a strong connection to this place. In the 1980s, after the sale of an agricultural business, our (clean) parents purchased two properties (numbers 67 and 69). Number 67 was completely renovated at the time, and our aunt lived in the then-number 69. When this aunt moved out, we submitted an application to renovate that house, which was approved. Upon further consideration, we would rather like to build the house completely new at the current location, which resulted in a years-long legal battle with the municipality, ultimately resulting in approval in May 1993.
Due to our architectural background and experience within the construction sector, we chose to realize the project largely on our own initiative with the support of experienced professionals. The construction period was intensive and required a lot of effort but resulted in a house that has been carefully, professionally, and with attention to detail built. The entire construction process was documented in photo and film material, of which a selection is available for viewing upon request.
Since 1995, we have lived here with a lot of pleasure. The house has been a nice and warm home for years. Our daughter was also born and raised here, but now a new phase is about to begin for us and we are moving to number 67. Therefore, we are very curious about which new neighbors we will get! We sincerely hope that the new residents here will find living as pleasant as we have done for all those years. Read the full description
